You are truly spoiled for choice in this very foodie city. Not only is there a huge range that can be delivered to your doorstep but whether you want something nearby or are prepared to walk across the city, the choices are (almost) endless.

Thai food, Chinese, Sushi, burgers, 'posh' or casual, take away or dine in - feel free to ask us for our favourite recommendations. Benoli (Italian) is about 5 minutes walk, Ber Street Kitchen is great for brunch or even takeaway Sunday lunch (pre-book via their Facebook page)....and also why not pre order and collect an Aussie Pie in Ber St too! Ciscoe offers great asian food options for take-away or eat-in (and it's just round the corner) plus there's fine dining options in the city as well plus classic favourites such as The Ivy, Norwich. Oh and if you go to The Ivy, be sure to order the courgette fries (it's a starter/nibble) - spectacular and large enough for 4 to share!

Amongst our most beloved choices though, are the market stalls. If you're there early, grab hot bacon rolls or toasties, full English or just muesli or toast. If you've arrived a bit later, then try the hog roast or the asian delights, stir fries or good old fish and chips! When we have weekend guests we often have market grazing for Saturday lunch and then buy up platters of seafood (including lobster!), salads and potatoes from the fish and veg stalls, to create a sumptuous supper back at 5 Marchaunts Place. To finish off our weekend of treats, it might well be Sunday lunch at The Ivy - and it's all hard to beat. What bliss!

The food scene is changing all the time though and includes great pub options. However, one we've been meaning to try is on the 2nd floor in Jarrolds, the department store near the market. There seems to be a rather lovely fish restaurant and everything looks delectable. It's top of our list to sample next!

Finally, if you're vegan or vegetarian, then this is a great city for you too including vegan Indian restaurants. There's even Vish and Chips on offer at Lucy's stall in the market. Isn't that great?

But don't worry about gaining too much weight (even though there's even a Krispy Kreme Doughnut shop nearby) because we usually average 6000 to 10000 steps just wandering round looking at our foodie options, so we've used up the calories before we've even consumed them!

Enjoy :D
